Biography

Jemma Cakebread uses various mediums to explore obsession with skin, light and the complexity of colour. She has exhibited in group shows Materiality, Louis Joel Gallery (2016) and SmallWorks, Brunswick Street Gallery (2016), where she won the Melbourne Studio of Art Prize. She completed a residency and had her first solo exhibition, Thread, Courthouse Gallery (2016). In addition to her art practice she interns at Brunswick Street Gallery and co-organised the Melbourne City Mission Charity Art Auction (2016).
