We are looking for a financial analyst for our head office (located in downtown Montreal) to support the management of the company’s growth globally.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to supporting the controller in monitoring daily operations, the financial analyst should:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements:
    • Prepare and forward invoices/accounts to clients and answer their questions as required;
    • Collect accounts receivable and deposits and follow up with clients as required;
    • Enter and make payment for accounts payable and employees' monthly expense accounts;
    • Analyze and prepare bank reconciliations and credit cards monthly;
    • Prepare monthly government remittance reports;
  • Analysis of monthly financial statements:
    • Analyze the various General Ledger accounts (assets, liabilities, income and expenses) monthly;
    • Analyze, reconcile and verify accounts receivable and payable;
    • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the various accounting and management systems used to process transactions in a timely manner;
    • Maintain and improve the necessary internal controls of all processes under its responsibility;
    • Monitor the entity's free cash flow;
  • Budget processes / year-end:
    • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and annual budget forecasts;
    • Participate in the preparation of the annual audit file;
  • Monitoring and control of projects:
    • In partnership with project management teams, monitor individual projects to forecast monthly operating revenues and costs and projected budgets.
    • Help to optimize the operational measurement reports and the various key performance indicators monitored;
    • Collaborate with content, production and project management teams on various projects; 
  • Tax credits and research and development:
    • Responsible for collecting post-production tax credits and grant applications, etc.
    • Responsible for optimizing/researching the various tax, R&D and grant credits for which the company would be eligible;

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA accounting title;
  • Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the position;
  • Knowledge of tax credit claims, R&D an asset;
  • Experience in service companies;
  • Very good knowledge of the Sage accounting system;
  • Very good knowledge of Excel software;
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English (oral and written);
  • Proficiency in Arabic (oral and written), an asset.

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

On the one hand, the person chosen must be structured and efficient in such a way as to be able to handle a high volume of work. On the other hand, in his or her role as a financial analyst, the successful candidate must demonstrate a strong analytical mind and rigour. We are looking for a positive and versatile person who is comfortable communicating with managers and internal clients as a resource when necessary.
