Biography

Laura Searle is a 27 year old fashion designer, who graduated in Advertising & Public Relations and Fashion Design between LCF in London and FD Moda-LCI in Barcelona, where she developed her final BA collection: Litost. She’s done short fashion courses in some of the most prestigious fashion schools, like Marangoni and Saint Martins in London, Domus Academy in Milan or CSDMM in Madrid, and received an scholarship to study one term at London College of Fashion, having as well worked in brands such as À MOI in New York, Preen by Thorton Bregazzi and Marques Almeida in London, or ARP and José Castro in Spain. Currently works as part of the creative team at Viktor & Rolf. Her work has been exhibited in Barcelona and London, featured in international websites and publications such as NEO2, ASVOF, ELLE.com, NY Times Magazine, H Magazine, We transfer or Not Just a Label among others, and she's won the 1rst prize in the Trendipia & Grazia Magazine design contest, as well as the 2nd prize in the Marie Claire young talents design contest, and well as the excellence award in the Hempel Design contest held in Beijing during where her collection Litost openned the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Her first fashion film was also selected as part of the Official Selection in FFF Milano, 2016. She understands fashion as a union of all artistic disciplines, and that’s why she’s formed herself in such different areas, starting with embroidery and serigraphy to abstract painting. Her aim is to concentrate in the way new technologies and materials affect fashion, and combine these with the traditional and artisanal techniques of her own country, to create garments that people can feel represented in. In 2010 she created her own brand in which she keeps working and that represents herself and her unique way of understanding not only fashion, but life itself.

Creative, proactive, team work and good under pressure.

Languages: Spanish, English & French. Basic knowledge in Chinese and Catalan.

Experiences

Worked in brands such as À MOI in New York, Preen by Thorton Bregazzi and Marques Almeida in London, or ARP and José Castro in Spain. Currently works as part of the creative team at the Atelier in Viktor & Rolf.

Previous experience in Advertising & PR, having worked in several fashion PR agencies in Spain and as a Creative Director in GlossyBox both in Spain & Berlin.
