Liunic On Things Advertisement Project

Liunic On Things is a Jakarta based art label and visual art studio. The brand focuses on creating honest and cute wearable art featuring naive characters that are inspired by human connections, social issue, animals welfare, & Kawaii Japan in a rather melancholic approach. Our challenge is to create an engaging advertisement for the brand. The general concept of the printed and film advertisement is to tell a backstory for the illustrations in Liunic on Thing’s products. We then emulate the illustrations into real life with human models in the story settings. The purpose of this is to make the characters more memorable, engaging, and thus create a more lasting impression.

How To Be The Coolest Mermaid

A story of a girl who came across Liunic On Things advertisement in a magazine. She is so moved as she wishes to become a mermaid since childhood. She called the mermaid immediately. The mermaid picked up and gave what the girl wanted: a potion to turn human into a mermaid. After the girl drank the potion, she didn’t turn into a mermaid. But into a flower instead because of the mermaid's mistake.
