The Bubble

My interpretation is to create utopian housing on water which is also eco-friendly and minimalist. The goal of the project is to make The Bubble realistic and for it to tend to society’s needs. It’s also a productive method of self-sufficiency and environmentalism.

Top Floor

Garden: The reason for the garden is to expand on self-sufficiency. Due to the condition of The Bubble being on water, it is time-consuming to go to and from a grocery store every day. Therefore, each house will be constructed with a garden on the top floor for vegetables, plants and other necessities. The Bubble will use solar energy retained from the transparent panels in the garden. These solar panels will transform ultralight and infrared rays into energy which will energize the entire house.

Bottom Floor

Layout: Since its concept of resting on water is quite complex, The Bubble will only be split into two floors. Nonetheless, the size of the house will vary depending on the residents wants and needs. For example, since my intentions when building the structure, were to create a space for two people, my bubble will appear smaller to someone who needs a space that fits four people. The house will be fabricated with a kitchen, a dining area, a living room, two bathrooms, one on each floor, a bedroom(s), a laundry room and a garden.
