SLI Up with Adam Fashion Show

I am pleased to have taken part in the Up with Adam foundation for my five years of high school, dedicating over 250 hours to the foundation. I’ve experienced being an organizer, a coordinator, promoter, social media handler for the Saint-Lambert International annual Fashion Show’s 15th anniversary. All proceeds made from show were donated to the Montreal Children’s hospital honouring 15 years later, Adam Taylor, raising the highest amount being 16,000$.

Adam Taylor, a student at SLI, was diagnosed with leukemia cancer at the age of 13 years old. “Up with Adam” was a slogan that was created by his high school, this slogan was printed on T-shirts that students would wear to make sure he had not been forgotten. The funds raised from the sales were used to buy DVDs and playroom furniture for the Oncology floor at the Montreal Children’s hospital. Although he fought bravely through each challenge, he passed away in October 2005. The “Up with Adam” logo now, represents an amazing ongoing relationship between the high school and children who are battling cancer today. his legacy “Up with Adam” continues to grow providing comfort to the children presently on the hospital floor where he spent so much time.
