Wanderer

Wanderer is a travel magazine targeted to young adult backpackers who enjoy unique experiences when traveling. The concept for the design was inspired by the overlay colored filters used in apps such as Snapchat and Instagram, where pictures are the main focus.  The art direction for this magazine consisted on the same colour scheme throughout its issues but applied in different ways to the photographs on the cover and throughout the magazine. Bright colours are used to represent youth and adventure. The style of the magazine reflects on the millennial culture by contrasting the minimalistic and flat design of apps and the heavy use of pictures. Details such as sidebars and typographic slashes were implemented in different parts of the design to connect with the style of app design.
