Girls Can Shred Too.

In 2014, i decided to create a personal project for myself. Being the middle child and, only girl in the family i have always been around crazy boys doing crazy sports. My youngest brother, is extremely talented at freestyle snowboarding. Freestyle snowboarding is a sport that involves performing tricks on rails, boxes, half pipes and jumps. I had noticed that this sport in particular was a very male dominated. I told myself that i would learn this winter with the help of my youngest brother. Winter 2014 came along and i was ready. I've already been snowboarding for about 2 years beforehand so i knew my way but freestyle snowboarding was all new to me.Once i got to the snowboarding park the first thing i realized, as expected, was that everyone was male. I felt a little intimidated. As the day went by my body started hurting from all the falling i did. It was harder then i expected. My goals was to show to other girls that we can do this sport too, we can ever be better at them at it too. I learnt so many things about myself during this experience and will continue practicing this sport for many years to come.
