The Collingwood branch of the Vancouver Public Library is located at the northwest corner of Kingsway and Rupert Street, it is an unpretentious, colourful hub of activity. This was one of the first examples of Modernist architecture in the Vancouver Public Library system. It has been serving the Collingwood community for 60 years. There are too many random exterior and interior changes as well as poor maintenance, which have marred the open and inviting character of this unique architectural landmark. Sadly, its long-term future is uncertain.
