RAPA NUI is a wine brand from Easter Island that offers a variety of wine selections. The company required labels for the various wines. Different labels for different consumers. According from the wine demographics, women accounts for 83% of all consumer purchases and 36% of wine drinkers are millennials. Regarding labels, 46% of women said they were intrigued by “traditional and classic/sophisticated” designs. Studies show that 39% were intrigued by the “fun and fanciful” looks. The diversity and interesting culture is what the millennials crave. The company wants to express the cultural development of the brand and the connection with the development history of the brand through the design concept of logo, label and colours to attract consumers. The origin of the brand name comes from the local language of the island which means Easter Island. The Logo was inspired by the ship of the Dutch West Indian explorer named Jacob Rohfinen who discovered the island in the South Pacific. The theme of the label includes both the famous Moai stone statues and elements of the explorer. Different nautical tools and the geographic map of Easter Island are used to represent a variety of wines. Each Moai stone statue is placed in position on the map that corresponds to the name of the attraction which is used to name each wine.
