A significant aspect of fashion that brings me reward and satisfaction is the effect clothes can have on a person’s mental and personal wellbeing. Clothing is more than thread and fabric, it is, in essence, an extension of one’s personality, and the way’s in which a person dresses can alter, advocate and/or express an individuals identity. This collection was designed specifically for the Australian climate and a quality so high that the garments will last season after season. Visiting Milan and experiencing Italy’s amazing fashion has really opened up my eyes to the heights and boundaries fashion reaches. Characteristics of Milanesque designs included bold and brave colours, and technically perfect garments. I believe I have captured this within my range and created a collection that individuals can modify and play with too cater to their individual styles. It is in my hope that the women who wear my garments feel authentic and comfortable, allowing elements of their personalities to transpire.
