Biography
Hi there, my name is Enwen Wu. I am a 4th-year Graphic Design student at Lasalle College, aiming to finish my bachelor's degree by September 2020. I have had an internship experience serving as assistant to the executive director at Blue Focus’ Beijing office. During my time at Blue Focus, I was part of the team that produced an advertisement package for a joint campaign by Jingdong Mall and Yili Milk. In contribution to the project, I was responsible for drawing the illustration draft of partial scenes while also supplying many ideas that were later implemented.
As a graphic designer, I am sensitive to color combinations and good at presenting a product in a clean, straightforward, and modern style. My favorite designers are Wes Anderson and Milton Glaser. Indeed, my goal is trying to demonstrate a fusion of vintage and palace style in my work while also keeping it direct and simple. The concept of sustainability also means a lot to me since I feel strongly that as a responsible citizen, it is our duty to do our part to help make our planet a better place to live. Applying that idea to my profession, it means I would champion the use of less energy during the design process, use of environment-friendly materials and inks during the production process, etc.
On the personal side, I like to travel a lot. Exposing myself to different cultures and people while traveling has become the best source of my inspiration. Also, I like to capture all the sceneries with my phone so that I can have a wealth of pictures to draw from when I need to. I believe that every color from nature is iconic, just like people changing cloth every day.
Currently, I am also working on a rebranding project for a tea company in China.
