Tomcat

[ Brand identity and royalty concept for a new series of gin packaging. ] Tomcat is a four-pack taster kit of gin. The design is intended to exhibit both traditional and modern style at the same time. To achieve this, the brand will allude to their company’s history in the background and re-brand for a new collection. Old-tom gin is a gin from 19th century England. Tomcat's original label features a black cat. To update the company’s rich history, the cat is again the centre of each bottle label. There are four feline characters dressed in traditional English clothing, each of which relates to a different English royalty and represent a different flavour. The conceptual names are based on aristocratic titles. Furthermore, the front is designed like a frame, creating an illusion for the clients to see through to the background.
