Le thème traité est la coexistence entre un corps autonome (l'être humain) et des parasites intrusives (maladies). Initialement, les parasites dépendent d'un corps principal pour se nourrir et survivre. Leur but ultime est de conquérir le corps et le dominer. Le corps réagit naturellement en détectant un corps étranger et essaye d'éliminer les parasites alors ces derniers prennent une nouvelle forme méconnaissable et non nuisible (désirs). Il se rend inoffensif et désirable. Pénétration, séduction, non-détection, intégration, l'organisme-hôte est leurré par le parasite et cultive une dépendance parasitaire. On finit donc par assister à une dégradation avancée et une résistance inefficace de l'organisme-hôte.
