Heavy Rain : Experimental Typeface

This typeface is inspired by the origami killer, the main antagonist of Heavy Rain, a murder mystery drama game released on the Sony PlayStation 3 in 2010. The origami killer’s signature trademark is to leave a small origami figure in the hands of his dead victims. This typeface is a play on that idea, where instead of a small figure a serial killer would leave cryptic messages using origami letters after killing their victims.

Process

Every Letter in this typeface is hand folded from ½ square piece of paper. After the models are finished, they are then yellowed and splattered with blood using effects in Photoshop.
