Commercial Design - Jovoy Flagship Vancouver

During the Commercial Design class at LaSalle College Vancouver, the students were given a floor plan with a footprint of 8.477 square foot of a leasing space in downtown Vancouver. The task was to create the first Vancouver flagship of any store that do not have a Canadian location yet. Jovoy Perfume was chosen to unite all the perfume brands sold in the 7 locations in Europe and Middle East. In this new location, perfume workshops will be held. A laboratory will be designed for classes about how to mix essential oils and the clients will be able to create their own perfumes. The flagship will offer bespoke fragrances. The store will have a partnership with local patisserie - Thierry - to indulge the clients. Thierry will be a patisserie and a sophisticated wine bar and champagne bar at the same time. The Jovoy Flagship in Vancouver will play an homage to the year that this perfume house was founded - 1923 - by bringing elements of Art Deco, a style that was sparking in the 20’s in Paris, transmitting a glamorous, elegant, functional and modern identity to the project. By walking among rooms of bold geometric patterns and symmetry filled by expensive materials thorough the use of gold, lacquer, mirrors, ebony, crystal chandeliers, wood, velvet and marble, the clients will experience an atmosphere of exclusivity and luxury.
