Primavera Gelateria

Primavera Gelateria Sanctuary of Confections is a Brand identity and packaging design for a plant-based gelateria that highlights its use of edible flowers, and its mood-altering properties, on its ingredients. The objective is to provide a place of recovery and escape from everyday emotional, social and physical stress, and to revitalize with the use of mood mending ingredients infused in the confectioneries. The concept is based upon Persephone, the Greek goddess of Spring and growth, and at the same time, the goddess queen of the underworld. According to the story, Persephone spends half of the year in the underworld and the other half with the gods back atop. Her absence above brings forth winter, and when she comes back, vegetation flourishes, which implies the start of Spring. Based on her narrative, a complete branding strategy and packaging series was created, that portrays her distinct characteristics as a goddess, which also represents the frozen and baked delicacies served in the gelateria. With exotic new flavours derived from plants and flowers, it offers a unique food experience that provides sustenance and brings happiness and tranquility.
