The container was designed to look like a medieval manuscript, like codex gigas, the circular illustrations on one side was inspired by the full moon with flourishes on the edges where the metal clams or decorations would be.

Front covers

“Sometimes the truth is more frightening than fiction”- Aaron Mahnke: creator, producer, and host of Lore To bring that concept of the Frightening Truth in focus, icons of different body parts were used to create a larger illustration that is a motif form a main story in each book. Each body part represents a cruelty present in humanity. The eyes symbolize the cruelty of the silent witness, the hands and feet symbolize the psychical cruelty, the mouth to symbolize verbal cruelty and lust.
