Soda Boy

Soda Boy is a San Francisco based soft drink company that sells on-tap soda and take-home kits. The Soda Boy flagship store has a fun vintage quality due to it being located in an old warehouse. The design challenge was to create a brand identity that represents the playful nature of the soda business while also bringing through a feeling of nostalgia. The combination of a worn treatment and a retro typeface within the logo was chosen to emulate the ink stamps used on wooden soda crates back in the forties. Black and white images of kids playing were incorporated into the kit packaging to show the youthful joy that can be brought on from sharing a cold soda with a friend.
