Biografía

I came to Montreal in 2012; I started by studying English, which went well I obtained my certificate with distinction. Then, I applied for a business program at Concordia University, but my application was rejected. However, they offered me to join the Political Science program, which I did, thinking that it was my best option. After a year of struggle my grades were very low and I got expelled. Fortunately enough, what seemed to be the worst fatality turned out to be a true blessing. An opportunity for change, an opportunity to start over and it revealed some traits of my personality that I was not even aware of. Like Victor Hugo said: “Adversity makes men, prosperity makes monsters". In fact, through such adversity I learnt how to take something bad and turn it into something good. I learnt how to educate myself besides schools or college. I learnt how to become resilient, and how to persevere. I started reading a lot of books and helping people around me who struggled with life. But the greatest lesson was to understand that failure is part of success. And the only people who will achieve great success are not the ones who never fail but the ones who in spite of their failure will keep going towards their goals and learn from each mistake. Failure helps you grow if you are able to understand what you did wrong. Stay positive, stay realistic and welcome the hard days when they come. Like Jim Rohn said: “The major key to your better future is YOU!”
