Biografía

Born in Edmonton, Canada and raised on Vancouver Island, fashion designer Christa Granneman has been passionate about unique clothing and costumes from a very young age. Greatly inspired by movies and illustration, she always knew that she wanted to pursue a creative career, and began sewing and altering clothing at the age of 14. Emboldened by her family’s history of skilled and creative craftsmen and women, her need to actualize her goals led her to the Art Institute of Vancouver – now LaSalle College Vancouver—in pursuit of knowledge and practices to develop her skills to become a fashion designer. During the diploma, she challenged herself and learned to extend her limits through experimentations in textile manipulation and tailoring. She is a firm believer in the power of strong will and determination, challenging herself to explore and improve with every project she takes on. Her graduation collection is a personal expression and demonstrates her love for fine details. Her work has been showcased at Vancouver Eco Fashion Week 2017 as well as in a subsequent exhibition at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver.
