Basn is a vodka company based out of Poland. There are many stories of mythical creatures told in Poland and Basn translates to myth or legend in Polish, making it a suitable company name. The concept statement of “The Myths Have Awoken” was selected to connect to the idea of the exotic flavors bringing life to user’s taste buds. The tales of these creatures are from the past and have history, as does vodka. The logo was a stylized letter “B” and was done to represent a branch of a tree, symbolizing the mystery and curiosity of Poland. The names of the flavors of vodka were based off of three of the most famous legends in Poland. The illustrations of the mythical creatures were done in a playful appearance, to not draw away users who would think these creatures were scary and off-putting. Bright colours were paired with black to create balance on the labels.
