Linz is Austria’s third-largest city and is famous for its steel industry. The harmony between historical buildings and modern innovations can be said to be the identity shown by Linz. The challenge offered by Linz was clear. A visual system that combines economic growth and urbanization was needed. The goal was to strengthen the city’s visual identity to make it the best industrial city in Europe. The concept of this rebranding is “THE FRAMEWORK OF NATION.” A solid and stable city is expressed in the form of bricks stacked in a square frame. The slogan, ‘The Steel City,’ is placed vertically next to the logo, showing a steel pillar supporting the city. The font “mont” used in the logo is minimal and modern. To enhance practicality, vertical and horizontal arrangements of the logo can be added and used in various ways in the right place.
