The Heart & Stroke foundation of Canada is in need of an effective and eye catching advertisement campaign in order to promote their services and to encourage people to look after their health. The organization’s previous campaigns were based on dramatic images of people going into the emergency room. A shift in direction for the new campaign meant that a very simple, straightforward but impactful message was desired. Surviving heart attacks and strokes comes down to time, as immediate care will prevent a disaster. Clocks are used to symbolize time, with the variety emphasizing that this could happen in anyone’s home. The bold chunky typeface was chosen to create more impact on the viewer’s eye, paired with a dynamic red to create emphasis.
