Vintage katana: Beverage Packaging

As the national beverage of Japan, sake is served with great ceremony. To broaden the appeal of sake to a younger demographic, this sake is infused with fruit. The packaging design is inspired by the Japanese samurai culture and reflects the different flavors through a variety of samurai and their characteristics: faithfulness, calm, and braveness. In the typography, the contemporary color scheme was chosen to reflect the traditional Japanese samurai clothing, and the font selection used similar calligraphic fonts to reflect the ancient style. Each illustration corresponds to a different fruit taste, and the shape of the fruit is unified to perfectly combine with the samurai.
