There has been a rising trend of “fashionable” food which uses food as a vehicle for self-expression. Tabi’s is a sweets company selling chocolate, candy and jellies. The goal of the packaging design is to create fashionable, social-media ready look targeting younger generations who are willing to spend money on gourmet foods. The design is inspired by the genre “Vapor wave” which has surreal aesthetic style with a chill vibe loved by many millennials. Using the characteristics of Vapor wave, each packages expresses the world of the imaginary with eye-catching neon colours.
