In this collection I have created garments mostly inspired by corsetry, because I wanted to play with body modification, due the very first corset was designed to flatten the torso and push the bust, what clearly consists of a disturbance of the natural silhouette of the female body. Including the shoes, which are handmade using second hand ones and making them extra long using different techniques from the collection. It is widely known that for many people body modification is a form of a body project, the construction of the person who want to reach, but sometimes we are afraid to show. Following with this idea of transmitting everything that we have attached to us, inside us and we do not want it to come to light. Playing with different shoulder and hip volumes to accentuate a powerful figure who wants to go out, that “Belphègor” that we all carry. The effort we make to hide it, tightening the corsets. Most of the reused fabrics of old garments are used in little pieces joined together with different stitches, simulating everything that we are made of. Also tapes, holes, transparencies, helping to form this idea of a psyche that escapes from the corpse.
