The concept behind Cho-Ori was inspired by the butterfly, in particular its wings, which were studied through the art of origami in order to extrapolate the shape of the lower part of the wing – which was used to realize the architecture of this building. The five points of these paper wings were united in a star-shaped grid, to which five more points were added in order to add more diversity, and all of this was used to divide the areas in the building. The body and upper part of the wings were used in the project, too, in order to add two external elements to the main architecture – a bench and a resting area/refuge, respectively.
