Okoti. The sustainable house

Okoti was created to promote sustainability in new homes, with the aim of creating a greener future with self-sufficient communities.

The house is located

The house is located on an isolated land within the great city of Barcelona, which allowed the building to be oriented to the south in order to obtain the maximum natural lighting possible. Moreover, the volumetry is resolved by a modular architectural model, based on the recycling of the transport of goods for maritime use, where three 40 foot containers (about 12 meters long) and two other 20 foot units (6 meters long) have been used.

The functional progr

The functional program is made up of two different floors. On the ground floor there is a common area, where there is the living/dining room with an open concept kitchen, and the bedroom with a bathroom for a person with reduced mobility. On the contrary, all the private rooms are located on the second floor.

Therefore, Okoti ren

Therefore, Okoti renews the old shipping containers and transforms them into sustainable homes that can be located anywhere in the world without damaging the environment.
