Kickflip

Kickflip is a skateboard shop based in Vancouver, Canada, located on Commercial Drive. This project is inspired by 80s skate punk subculture, also known as Skatecore and Skate Rock. The purpose of this kit is to provide the essential tools that skaters need to fix and change parts. The kit consists of a skate tool, rubber pads, and bearings. The packaging is a wooden storage box that is reusable and conveniently sized to fit in a backpack while cruising the streets.

The concept behind this project is to bring the old school and skate punk lifestyle to the 21st century. To achieve this, the logo and typographic elements are hand drawn to emphasize th e DIY approach of the original skate punk lifestyle, accessible to beginners and pros alike.
