The Oud Box House

Inspired by “The Oud Box” found in every house in Saudi Arabia, filled with incense wood. The smell of oud burning immediately triggers happiness. The exterior of the house resembles the box shape with screens that celebrate the rich traditional patterns.

Following the tradition and to stay local as much as possible, the material will include Coral Stone and reed sheets. Light ash wood and rattan for some of the finishes. Laser-cut aluminum screens for shading. Mixture of light coloured linens for upholstery.
