Things to Know About Paper

Things to Know About Paper is a zine project about paper's ugly truth. This zine contains information and statistics with the cold facts about paper that the Indonesian government often hides from the population. Indonesia is one of the biggest global producers for paper, with over 30 million acres of forest destroyed annually. This has created environmental issues that impacted the wildlife habitats as well as the surrounding areas.

The design concept starts with an envelope labelled Top Secret, evoking the secrets that the government has kept decades. The size of the zine is small, allowing the printing process to use less paper than average. The papers are sustainably sourced and printed double-sided allowing maximum use of the paper. The call to action of this project is to avoid using more paper and protect the environment.
