Art & Craft Center San Angelo

he Craft & Art Center San Angelo will be a space to share wealth of culture, knowledge, and traditions of indigenous people. Cultural diversity is manifested in all around the world as globalized as it is today. Day by day, indigenous peoples strengthen their social, political, religious, and traditional food by their dedication in the elaboration of extraordinary artistic and craft works, in addition to another a way of transmitting the history and the different cultures of humanity that was born from prehistory with the need to make objects that facilitate the daily activities of the human being. However, due to factors such as economics and discrimination those traditions are in danger. Without protection and support in their rights to access for a decent work and social protection causes that not only there is a migration from rural to urban areas in search of better paid jobs, but also that our indigenous people abandon their trades and their cultural expressions. This problem from another perspective hurts the collective culture in which indigenous people are the affected and if they abandon their crafts and art activities, we are going to lose our identity as humans.
