Cosmic Hive: Beverage Packaging

Cosmic Hive is a soft drink brand that was inspired by a 1984 NASA experiment. The space agency sent honeybees into space, discovering that bees are capable of flight and creating honeycombs in zero-gravity conditions. This brand imagines what would happen if that delicious ‘space-honey’ were to come to earth and create an out-of-this-world soft drink.

Idea Development

The main challenge was to develop an identity that is friendly and approachable while combining it with the technological aspect of space travel. The solution was to create a cute character as the mascot for the brand and pairing it with a simpler flat-vector art style.
