A 100-mile diet is diet of acquiring food with in an individual 100- mile radius. It is a self- imposed challenge the 100 – mile diet to not only eat things that were produced within a 100 -mile radius of their home. Not just fruits and vegetables but everything, including farm produce. The 100-mile diet is a great way to learn about local farming community, get healthier and choose a sustainable of eating. It is great step toward a more sustainable lifestyle and will dramatically lower your carbon footprint. This theory was created by the Canadian writers Alison Smith and J.B Mackinnon A 100 – mile diet spending a year with local eating with the experience including motivation and challenges and made restriction on their diet for one year and that period of time just having the food which is grown within mile of their residence. Eating only the locally sourced food including all the ingredients such as seasonings, oils, sugars that travel across the world and have to found in the supermarket.
