taking care about the depression

This is a true story. His prototype is my best friend's boyfriend. The story happened in 2000, when his parents divorced. Because of the busy work of his parents, no one cares about him and his brother. As their father’s company is getting bigger, apart from providing them with financial support, he couldn't give anything. Because his brother is 3 years older than him and has reached the age that can independently thinking, his brother suffered from severe depression due to his parents' divorce and lack of parental company. After three years later, his brother chose to end his life ---cut his wrist and committed suicide. This was undoubtedly the heaviest blow to him in his adolescence. He could not accept this reality and had a fierce argument with his parents, because in his heart, he thought it was the indifference of his parents that killed his brother. Gradually, he stopped talking with his parents and began to indulge in various games. He often sits alone by the window in a daze or sits alone on a bench in the park all day and can't sleep during the whole night. Later, he became very irritable and unable to concentrate on studying. Therefore, he ended his studies after high school. My best friend and he met in their youth, because of her care and company, her boyfriend gradually walked out of the haze and began to try to change. For example, he starts to learn smiling, chat and hug with friends, etc. Right now, he is getting fine. This is a very tragic and melancholic story. I hope that by sharing this documentary, each of us can realize the seriousness of depression and care about the people who suffer from it. We also need to realize what they really need. It is love. It is care and companionship. This is the idea I want to convey when I took this series of photos. I think it is very meaningful. I use different colors to reflect the mood and state of the character. His bedroom is dominated by blue, which is one of the very important details in the photo, showing his melancholy characteristics.
