The Good the Bad and the Ugly Libya is a country in North Africa, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad and Niger to the south and Algeria and Tunisia to the west. The Libya I remember are the one that I loved, the one that I have my family and people in, amazing nature the beaches the desert the weather, the kind of relaxing life we had! the traditional and clothes of Libya are very rich of mixed cultures, there is the roman and the Greece culture, the barbarian and the Islamic cultures, and the tawareq in the south, and the traditional clothes are the same for thousand years, The Libyan woman like to wear a lot of gold and silver, even the clothes made from silk and silver and gold, in marriage arrangements the groom need to provide gold to his future wife and her family will decide how many kilo they ask for! This was in the old days but it’s still running until now, and in her wedding all guests will always wear bright colored fabrics and gold! In 2011 a civil war started in Libya and after that the beautiful Libya that I lived all my life in has been destroyed to an ugly place that no one recognized it, After the civil war we miss this beauty still people are trying to live normal life but it’s not the same and there’s no hope that it will be in the future, My inspiration is my country how beautiful it was and how it become ugly now. My collection is a mix between the rich and the poor fabrics, the feminine and soft and colored fabrics, with masculine army fabrics. HEBA SBAAI.
