Selected through a highly competitive national judging process, these designers stood alongside graduates from leading fashion institutions across the country — a significant achievement and a powerful endorsement of the strength and distinctiveness of LCI Melbourne’s Fashion Faculty.
The National Graduate Showcase recognises innovation, technical excellence, creative risk-taking and a clear design voice. The five featured LCI Melbourne designers each presented work that demonstrated bold conceptual thinking, refined craftsmanship, and a confident point of view — hallmarks of the LCI approach to fashion education.
Head of Fashion Darran Arabin-Gander also praised the graduates:
“What makes this moment particularly special is seeing our designers recognised not just for aesthetic strength, but for depth of concept and technical integrity. These collections are the result of intense development, experimentation, and mentorship. I couldn’t be prouder of how our graduates carry themselves — and their work — onto a national platform.”
The success of these graduates reflects the broader philosophy of LCI Melbourne’s Fashion & Costume Design degree — an accelerated, industry-embedded program designed to fast-track emerging designers into meaningful creative careers.
Through close collaboration with industry partners, live briefs, international mobility opportunities, and rigorous capstone development, LCI Melbourne continues to position its students at the intersection of art, design, business, and cultural influence.
As Melbourne’s arts and cultural capital, the city provides a dynamic backdrop for emerging designers to experiment, refine and present their work — culminating in opportunities such as the National Graduate Showcase.
LCI Melbourne remains proudly Different by Design — committed to cultivating graduates who are not only technically proficient, but creatively courageous.
